Ted Danson to Join CSI

Actor Ted Danson of HBO’s ‘Bored to Death’ will join the cast of ‘CSI, Las Vegas,’ reports the LA Times.

“Intelligence, wit, warmth, depth of character and emotion, he brings it all,” executive producer Don Gill said of Danson in a statement. “And now he’ll have to bring latex gloves, too.”

Danson’s character will hail from Portland, Ore. where he formerly ran a CSI lab.

Laurence Fishburne’s departure from the show paved the way for Danson’s entrance.
