New Cast Members Chosen for Law and Order: SVU

Since Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay’s announcements that they will each be leaving Law and Oder: Special Victims Unit, rumor blogs have been buzzing about who will fill their roles.

Finally, NBC has come forward with the new cast selections. Danny Pink from Cold Case and Kelli Giddish from Chase will become the new Stabler and Benson, reports PerezHilton.

NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt announced in a statement:

“Kelli and Danny are two great actors who will join a proven cast headed by Mariska Hargitay as this exceptional series heads into a very promising 13th season."

Law and Order director Dick Wolf is excited to work with the new stars. “I’m very pleased that we have two amazing actors joining the cast,” he said. “I know this combination will give us the opportunity to explore the world of SVU with new eyes.”
