Southwest Airlines has slashed ticket prices to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The sale spans from Tuesday, June 21 to Thursday, June 24 and tickets are priced at $40, $80, or $120 depending on how far you fly.

Passengers taking short flights (up to 450 miles) can buy a one-way ticket for just $40. Mid-range flights (451 to 1,250 miles) are priced at $80, and long hauls (1,251+) will set you back $120.

Flights on Fridays and Sundays are not included in the anniversary sale, and travelers can only purchase reduced-price tickets online at www.southwest.com.

Tickets purchased during the sale are eligible for use between Aug. 23 and Nov. 16.
