4. In 2013, he joined the many stars who made an "appearance" on the popular TV show "South Park." The cartoon's creators used Crowe's oft-rambunctious reputation as a source for parody in the "Russell Crowe: Fightin' Around the World" show within the show.

7. While he's done them before, Crowe is now against doing television commercials. He told PBS host Charlie Rose that he doesn't think it's smart as an actor to make yourself "into some sort of iconographic thing."

"The whole gig is that you change between gigs — that you don't necessarily have the same beard or the same suit," Crowe said. "But now you're saying, 'Oh by the way, this level of iconography is actually me, and I'll sell you this watch ... it's bad for the credibility of cinema."

Crowe is still a sought after actor. Although he will most likely be remembered for his films, some of his television appearances won't soon be forgotten either.
