For pastor Rob Bell, the idea of family is central to his impassioned sermons and religious message. Bell’s unique take on family and the afterlife are heavily scrutinized.
According to Charisma Magazine, “Bell makes a strong case that Jesus died to reconcile all people to God, but then he suggests that not everyone will realize it was Jesus they were praying to.”
Bell initially an evangelical leader, recently broke with the church and its more traditional beliefs. “From a certain evangelical perspective, Bell’s life can look like a cautionary tale: his desire to question the doctrine of Hell led to his departure from the church he built,”
