Rob Bell has inspired many around the world with his uplifting message. He doesn’t discriminate, recently voicing his support for gay rights.
According to the Christian Post, “Former Mars Hill Bible Church pastor and best-selling author Rob Bell told media mogul Oprah Winfrey on Sunday that the American church is ‘moments away’ from embracing gay marriage and thinks ‘it's inevitable.’"
His wife, Kristen, who co-founded the renowned megachurch, echoes his views. "Marriage, gay and straight, is a gift to the world because the world needs more not less love, fidelity, commitment, devotion and sacrifice,” she said.

Some evangelical publications took exception with
Bell’s controversial statements. Charisma News framed it totally differently, writing, “For those who had any questions, Rob Bell has now made himself totally clear: He is willing to trash parts of the Bible as ‘letters from 2,000 years ago’ when God's Word contradicts his views on same-sex marriage.”
