Pia Toscano Signs With Interscope Records

Pia Toscano, made famous by ‘American Idol,’ has signed a record deal with Interscope Records and is set to release her first single, ‘This Time,’ online Tuesday, reports the LA Times.

Toscano will be performing her single on the American Idols Live! 2011 Tour, which starts Wednesday in Salt Lake City and will make stops in both California and Ontario, Canada.

“This is a dream come true,” Toscano said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to working with him (Jimmy Lovine) and everyone at interscope Records and 19 recordings.”

Lovine was a mentor to the most recent series of contestants on ‘American Idol.’
