Many women do no know how to find out when they are ovulating. This article explains how you can calculate and find out the time of ovulation by the use of different ovulation predictors, which may help you to get pregnant.

Ovulation generally takes place around the middle of the menstrual cycle. During ovulation, most women detect certain physiological changes in their body, such as increased production of cervical mucus. The sexual desire and the basal body temperature increases during ovulation. The disadvantage of detecting ovulation with the help of physiological changes is that all these changes are difficult to detect. Moreover, they might occur due to some other reasons, and all women do not experience such changes in their body.

So, you can use different ovulation predictors to find out when you are ovulating.

Ovulation Calculator: Ovulation calculators help you to calculate your date of ovulation. Online ovulation calculators are easily available and are simple to use. They automatically calculate your date of ovulation. In an ovulation calculator, you need to enter the first date of your last menstrual cycle and the average number of days in your cycle, to find out your fertile period. This calculator helps those with a regular menstrual cycle.

Ovulation Calendar: Women with a regular menstrual cycle can use an ovulation calendar. You can use an ovulation calendar even if you have a slight variation in your menstrual cycle. However, women who have consistent problems in the regularity of their cycle, can be misled. An ovulation calendar is a calendar in which a regular record of your menstrual cycle is entered. You need to record the date of your last period, both the start and end date of your menstrual bleeding, the start date of your next menstruation, etc. In this calendar, to find out the date of ovulation, you need to check the records from previous months. Find out the cycle with minimum duration (say 26) and subtract 18 from 26. You get eight. Starting from the first date of your present cycle, count ahead another eight days. The next date is the probable date of your ovulation.

Ovulation Tests and Ovulation Predictor Kits: The other common process used in ovulation tests is the use of ovulation predictor kits. Different kinds of ovulation predictor kits are availabe. You need to perform these ovulation tests every day for about a week before you expect ovulation.
