NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has called a two-day conference with several owners and league officials to discuss the ongoing NFL lockout, reports
USA Today.
Negotiations have been underway for almost 15 weeks, but no contract has been renewed between the players union and the league.
Issues up for debate include player salaries, free agency eligibility, drug testing, health benefits, season length, and TV programming considerations.
“We have a lot of work to do and we’ve got to do it right,” said Goodell. “The Agreement has to focus on several issues, and the issues are complex. It must be done in a way that is fair to the players and a way that is fair to the clubs.”
