NASA’s last space shuttle launch Friday afternoon may be delayed or postponed due to a 70 percent chance of rain or thunderstorms in Cape Canaveral, Florida, reports the
Sacramento Bee.
The Atlantis has been scheduled to launch Friday as the 135th and final mission of NASA’s 30-year shuttle program.
The mission will send four astronauts on a supply run to the International Space Station, weather providing.
The launch is scheduled to take place at 11:26 a.m. and may attract as many as 1 million people to the Cape Canaveral liftoff.
