What is MS?
Multiple sclerosis, commonly referred to as MS disease, is a debilitating condition, which causes the body’s immune system to eat away at the protective sheath covering the nerves.

MS causes a communication breakdown between the body and the brain. As a result, the nerves in the body deteriorate in a process that is not reversible. The exact causes of multiple sclerosis are not clear. It is believed to be an autoimmune disease. Unfortunately, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis; however, people can undergo treatment, so that the condition can be controlled.

The symptoms of MS disease may vary based on the nerves that are affected and the extent of the damage. In some severe cases of multiple sclerosis, people may also lose the ability to walk or speak. In others, the symptoms may come and go or even could disappear for months. Some of the more common symptoms of multiple sclerosis are fatigue, sensations of shock caused by head movement, vision problems, weakness or numbness in the limbs, tremors, and dizziness. As soon as any of these symptoms become evident, it is important to consult a doctor and to start with the appropriate treatment.
