When famous athletes conduct interviews after their various events, they often will thank God for allowing them to stay healthy or win at whatever they were playing.
Sometimes, what they're preaching might ring hollow, but there are also a number of athletes who are Christian and who completely believe in their faith.

Dempsey said his faith is "what gives me confidence for the future. I know that through both good times and bad, He is faithful and will watch over me."
3. Gabby Douglas
After becoming the first African-American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in the all-around gymnastics competition,
Douglas said, "I give all the glory to God. It's kind of a win-win situation. The glory goes up to him and the blessings fall down on me."

The former Rutgers football player was paralyzed during a 2010 game, but he's since written a book called "Believe" that outlines his reasons for his faith.

In 2012, Pacquiao, one of the best boxers in the world, converted to Christianity. As the Guardian writes, "He once was an all-night hound dog, taking his pleasure where he pleased." However, he's famously changed his ways since his conversion.

The longtime San Diego Chargers quarterback speaks in front of youth groups and touts the idea of chastity until marriage.
9. Tim Tebow
Although there have been "Saturday Night Live" sketches that have made fun of his constant proselytizing, there's little doubt the National Football League quarterback believes what he's preaching. Tebow might be the famous Christian athlete in this country today.

The 2012 Masters champion used his belief in his faith to stop his on-course temper tantrums and his frustrations. "We all have setbacks but God doesn't give us more than we can handle,"
