Wednesday, 08 June 2011 01:43 PM EDT

Michelle Obama is slated to debut her acting chops on Nickelodeon’s popular teen show iCarly, the White House confirmed to ABC.

Mrs. Obama’s appearance will take place next week in L.A. during which she will share her message of support for military families to promote “Joining Forces,” the initiative launched by Dr. Jill Biden and the first lady in April.

The program aims to “give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned.”

ICarly is one of first daughters Sasha and Malia’s favorite shows.
