Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber and his purported girlfriend, Disney star Selena Gomez, engaged in their first act of PDA . . . it just so happened to be nationally televised at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards.
 

The pair kissed and hugged openly in the audience during the event.

17-year-old Bieber won the award for top new artist of the year in addition to five other awards he took home.
 

The pair were photographed with Gomez, 18, laying her hand on Bieber’s knee.
 

Gomez she was busy that night, as she was also photographed with her arm around Bieber’s mom.
 

Bieber failed to mention his sweetheart by name during his multiple acceptance speeches.
