Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore hasn’t faded out of the public spotlight, as he recently announced that he “sure will look” at running for the Republican nomination ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Gilmore, currently the head of the conservative policy organization Free Congress Foundation, spoke Dec. 7, 2014 to a group of Virginia republicans and hinted that he had interest in running. Then on Jan. 7, 2015, he said on “The Steve Malzberg Show” that he was looking at the prospects.
