Jewel Welcomes Baby Boy

Jewel and professional bull riding husband Ty Murray have welcomed a son, Kase Townes Murray, on Monday evening in Texas, reports PEOPLE.

Kase was born at 7 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces.

“Tye and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” Jewel told PEOPLE. “We are overcome with happiness — it really is as great as everyone told us it would be — better even!”

The couple have converted a guest room in their 2,200-acre farm home in Stephenville, Texas, into a nursery for Kase. Jewel is set to release a new children’s album, ‘The Merry Goes ‘Round,” in August.
