Since 1967, Benelli has been making artfully designed, technologically advanced, sought-after firearms for hunters and sportsmen, but military personnel and law enforcement officers also depend on the reliability and patented technology of the company's weapons as well. In fact, Benelli offers six firearms designed for police officers and military, all of which are accompanied by up to a 10-year warranty and available tactical training.

According to the ArmedForcesMuseum.com, the Benelli M4 Tactical Shotgun is used by the Marines, Navy SEALS, Army, and military in at least a dozen countries. It’s an Auto-Regulated Gas-Operated (A.R.G.O.) semi-automatic 12-gauge with ghost-ring sights, a Picatinny rail for mounting optics, and the mechanism is made up of only four parts.

Also made for law enforcement is the Benelli Vinci Tactical shotgun. It is touted as the easiest gun to assemble and disassemble with its three-piece modular system and a dual-purpose release lever allows for fast and easy loading and unloading. The 12-guage is powered by Benelli’s famous In-Line Inertia Driven System and shoots 2 3/4-inch or 3-inch shells.

“This puts the Benelli Vinci at the edge for police or security duties, as it will allow officers and operators to use both lethal or less-lethal ammunition depending from the changing needs of tactical situations,” Pierangelo Tendas said on All4shooters.com.

The M2 Tactical shotgun, also a 12-gauge, is another of Benelli’s options for officers. The M2 utilizes the Inertia Driven System and can be loaded up or down with buckshot or slugs. The New Jersey and Indiana state police are among the users of the firearm, according to Tactical-life.com.

Benelli’s SuperNova Tactical shotgun is toted by many branches of the Department of Public Safety, including Georgia State Patrol. “[It is] a winning combination for keeping the peace,” according to James Shaffer of Tactical-Life.com. It chambers 2 3/4-inch, 3-inch, and 3 1/2-inch shells and is 7.2 pounds, a lightweight pump-action.

The Benelli Nova, also a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, has a single piece corrosion-resistant stock and receiver. Touted as indestructible by Benelli, it is made from a high-strength synthetic polymer reinforced with fiberglass. It’s rated as one of the top tactical shotguns for law enforcement professionals by Tactical-Life.com.

Benelli’s multi-functional tactical firearm, the M3, is the company’s convertible option. Officers can choose from semi-auto or pump-action operation and the firearm even has a collapsible telescoping buttstock. It also utilizes the Inertia Driven System.
