Questions Surround Gavin DeGraw Attack

Wednesday, 10 August 2011 11:28 AM EDT

Two days after singer Gavin DeGraw was assaulted in New York’s East Village, questions surrounding the attack only continue to escalate, People reports.

The identity of the assailants, the motive for such violence, the question of why DeGraw was on the street at 4 a.m., and how he was able to get a mile before being hit by a taxi are just some of the concerns of puzzled investigators.

DeGraw admits that he doesn’t “remember much” and his reps have released two very brief statements one of which ended with: “we have no additional details at this time.”

The singer is recuperating at Bellevue hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Police are continuing their investigation of the attack.
