Facebook, Inc. has hired the notorious computer hacker known by techies as “GeoHot,” reports
NBC.
Twenty-one-year-old Georga Hotz made headlines in 2008 after he hacked into Apple’s iPhone software using the code name “GeoHot” and created a way to run the device on any service carrier.
Hotz further created waves after hacking Sony PlayStation 3 software and publishing a list of instructions on how to run unauthorized applications and pirated games on the console.
Though these hacking controversies caused Hotz serious legal troubles, his proven software manipulation skills have finally paid off, landing him a premiere job at Facebook. It is reported that Hotz will work with Facebook on their new application for the iPad.
