Donald Miller lives in Nashville with his wife, Elizabeth. From there, he runs two companies, StoryBrand and Storyline. A successful writer, Miller published his first book at the age of 21, "Prayer and the Art of Volkswagen Maintenance," and has since written nine more books.
His 2006 book, "To Own a Dragon," dealt with his young life in a fatherless home. This led to the founding of the Mentoring Project, which funds the mentoring of kids from similar homes by local Christian churches.

Achieving successes in his own life, Miller has also made some statement on the subject himself:
1. Also on his blog, Miller doesn't see success in material gains. "So, I don't have a nice house. I don't have a nice car and I don't spend much money. But, I'm content. I can breathe. And that's nice."

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Miller explains his views on chasing success. "Every human being is searching for a deep sense of meaning and yet we're all chasing success. We've confused one for the other."
