David Duchovny and wife Tea Leoni have officially separated, confirms ET through a representative for Duchovny.

This is the second time in recent years that the couple has separated.

The pair were married in 1997 and have two children together: Madelain West, 12, and Kyd Miller, 9.

The two previously separated in 2008 after Duchovny checked himself into rehab for sex addiction.

They reunite in 2009 after the original split.
