Unlike many of her contemporaries, Cuban blogger Dazra Novak's blog isn't political. Instead, Havana From the Inside focuses on everyday life in the city, with posts about places around town accompanied by photos she takes herself.
In a 2013,
Novak was included a Mic.com article titled "5 Cuban Bloggers Who Opened Up Their Island (and Themselves) to the Rest of the World," along with other famous Cuban bloggers (or blogs) Elaine Díaz Rodríguez, La Jóven Cuba, Sandra Álvarez, and Conner Gorry.

Here are three facts about Cuban blogger Dazra Novak:
1. She's a member of the National Union of Cuban Artists & Writers.
This organization is described as having members from all of Cuba's 14 provinces and was founded to create "positive conditions for creators to work. It was founded in 1961 by Nicolas Guillen,"
according to Witness for Peace.
2. She's an OnCuba contributor.
OnCuba is a described as an "American publication correspondent in Cuba [that] aims to be a bridge of communication between the island and the U.S.," according to their Facebook page." Novak is a contributor to this organization that has more than 100,000 Facebook followers and posts articles such as "On the Caribbean Sea: a Digital Island" and "Cronos Vs. Cuba."
3. She's the author of "Making Of."
Novak received praise from Buenos Aires native Iosi Havilio in a
September 2014 interview with Ventana Latina for Novak's book, "Making Of." Havilio was asked, "Which of your contemporaries do you think are doing things that are stylistically or conceptually interesting?" to which he responded, "In Cuba, there's a girl named Dazra Novak who wrote a book called "Making Of," looking at La Habana from within."
