Craig Ferguson Receives Death Threat

Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:57 AM EDT

Days after David Letterman received death threats from a jihadist, Craig Ferguson received a threatening letter with mysterious white powder, reports Newser.

The powder contained in the letter was determined to be harmless by hazmat specialists.

“Ack! Someone mailed my show white powder & claimed it was anthrax,” Ferguson tweeted. “I’m not a big fan of that sort of thing.”

Ferguson tried to make light of the frightening situation by joking that the event forced him to change several of his jokes he had planned for the night. “The earthquake only scared millions of people on the East Coast,” Ferguson said. “But the white powder did something much worse. It scared me.”

LAPD and FBI officials are investigating.
