The site has many preserved buildings from Coolidge's early years as well as the early part of the 20th century. It also includes the home that Coolidge was visiting when he took the oath of office.

The simple headstone in the Plymouth Cemetery is a reminder that Coolidge believed the country's presidents are drawn from the people and should return to them. He is buried alongside seven generations of his ancestors.

The Forbes Library in Northampton, Massachusetts serves as the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Library and Museum. The library is the public library for the city or Northampton, where Coolidge made his home as an adult. The library is the only public library in the country which houses a presidential collection.
