California lawmakers passed a controversial law in June mandating all schoolchildren be vaccinated unless they have medical exemptions. Many people joined the heated debate on Twitter with a variety of perspectives, including some funny tweets.

The bill, known as SB277, came into being following the outbreak of measles at Disneyland late last year, which infected more than 100 visitors, according to The Associated Press.
