Neurosurgeon and conservative “political rock star” Ben Carson is expected to announce in the next six months that he will run for president in 2016, and a November 2014 TV special was considered a “jump start” on his campaign,
The Washington Times reported.
The special, “A Breath of Fresh Air: A New Prescription for America,” was made by a production company run by Armstrong Williams, who the Times called a “conservative personality.” Williams’ company also paid for the airtime to run it. The documentary/ad focused on Carson’s family life and his career.
