1. "Paramount doubled-crossed me in every way and cast Audrey," said Truman Capote, according to Vogue Magazine. The actor was speaking in reference to the studio's casting of Hepburn as Holly Golightly in the film. Marilyn Monroe his first choice.

Director Blake Edwards was referring to shooting the film's opening scene with Hepburn in front of Tiffany's on Fifth Avenue. 7. "Over my dead body!" It's not clear who said it. Some reports say Hepburn, others say it was the producers; but it was said in response to a Paramount Executive who wanted to cut the song "Moon River" from the film. It was composed with Hepburn's limited vocal range in mind.
