Alcatraz Island will now be offering visitors a newer version of their night tour of the prison, reports the
Associated Press.
Visitors can tour the infamous federal prison, once home to Al Capone and James “Whitey” Bulger, while listening to audio commentaries from ex-prisoners.
Prison guards will walk those who are brave enough through various rooms including the solitary confinement block.
The tour will also feature areas of the island that are typically off-limits during the day to visitors, including the penitentiary hospital, timeworn metal operating tables, and the psychiatric ward, AP reports.
