The Al Gore global warming movie “An Inconvenient Truth” was widely well received by supporters when it first released in 2008, but the spoofers love it, too.

The award-winning documentary movie features Al Gore telling the story of global warming, a version of a slide show on the topic he developed and delivered over many years. The movie links global events of climate change to human action in the world.

And here are six parodies that distort, lampoon or otherwise poke fun at the message:

The cartoon "Futurama" parodied Al Gore who says “It’s not boring I’m trying to save us all from certain death.” He then beats Bender over the head before recycling him.

"An Inconvenient Spoof" remixes the movie, changing the Al Gore global warming warning into an endorsement of the status quo — using Gore’s own words against him.

In "South Park," an animated Al Gore warns the world about “Man Bear Pig.”

In "An Inconsistent Truth," radio host Phil Valentine goes after what he calls the money made off guilt. The movie makes a humorous attempt to refute the Al Gore global warming movie. Valentine calls out Al Gore for hypocrisy in the way he tells people to live in the movie, but then lives himself.

The SnappyGreetings.com YouTube channel put together an animation featuring Al and Tipper Gore singing a global warming-themed parody of “Summer Nights” from the musical "Grease."

In "Al Gore’s Penguin Army," Al Gore stars as the villainous Penguin who presents "an overview of global warming" to an unsuspecting group of penguins, hypnotizing them into watching "An Inconvenient Truth" in the theater. They fall asleep again.
