Netanyahu: Israel Can Be China’s Junior Economic Partner

BEIJING — Israel can be a “perfect junior partner for China” by offering its technological capability, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at a meeting in Beijing Wednesday.

Li told Netanyahu he was ready to discuss strengthening ties and address regional issues such as the Middle East peace process.

“We are a small country, but we have a great concentration of technological prowess in many disciplines, and I think we can cooperate by scaling up these technologies for the benefit of both countries,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu arrived in Beijing Wednesday from Shanghai as part of a May 6-10 visit to China.
