The U.K. government may start relaxing the national lockdown beginning on May 26, The Sun reports, citing an unidentified person at Downing Street.

According to the report:

  • The final decision on timing is "very much a live conversation," and the plan will be delayed if infections are not deemed to have fallen enough.
  • Hospitality and entertainment industries will likely remain closed for months longer.
  • Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he will unveil more details on his plans for the country next week.
