Rush Limbaugh’s brother has issued a brief statement memorializing the late conservative talk radio host, whose death from lung cancer was announced earlier this week.

David Limbaugh, author and conservative political commentator, tweeted on Wednesday night: “Im not ready to speak yet but I Im so proud of my amazing, loving brother (sic)."

He added, "Thousands of you have shared how much he meant to you. My brother was the real deal. I can’t describe how sad I am but also how proud I am of my big brother. I love and adore you Rush. Thank you all.”

The longtime host of “The Rush Limbaugh Show” died on Wednesday after a year-long battle with advanced lung cancer, which he had announced in February 2020.
