The White House announced a 24-year-old senior official in the Office of National Drug Control Policy will leave by the end of the month – an exit following reports of his rapid rise and problematic resume, The Washington Post reported.

Taylor Weyeneth — whose only post-college professional experience was on President Donald Trump's campaign — was named a liaison to the drug office and then promoted to deputy chief of staff at the age of 23, the Post reported.

The Post published stories detailing his rapid rise amid staff turnover and vacancies, as well as inconsistencies and inaccuracies on three resumes he submitted to the government.
