Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan has joined NBC News and MSNBC as a political contributor, The Hill reported on Tuesday.
The 66-year-old Noonan, who won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for commentary, is a frequent critic of President Donald Trump.
In a recent column, she described the president as a "drama queen." She added that half his tweets show "utter weakness" and called his continuous attacks on the media and Republicans in Congress as "whimpering accusation and finger-pointing."
She made her debut as a contributor on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday.
Noonan was primary speechwriter as a special assistant to President Ronald Reagan and also was chief speechwriter for George H.W. Bush's presidential campaign in 1988, NBC reported.
Before that, Noonan was a producer at CBS News in New York, where her duties included writing and producing Dan Rather's daily radio commentary.
She also has written five New York Times best-sellers.
