A Tulsa, OK restaurant has apologized for telling a police officer to leave because he was wearing a gun,

When Mounds, OK reserve officer Brian Radford recently wanted to eat at Red Rock Canyon Grill in Jenks, he was told he couldn't do so if he was wearing his weapon.

wrote about the incident Sunday on Facebook, and his post went viral.
But Mounds Assistant Police Chief Craig Murray told the KRMG the incident was a misunderstanding that was caused by a manager trainee.
"Turns out in contacting corporate offices for the Red Rock Canyon Grill, they have a specific policy that says police officers are encouraged to be there, and more than welcomed to be there, and they can be there armed," Murray said.
"They want to make sure the public's aware that police officers can come, they can be armed and eat there," Murray said.
