Thirteen Iowa residents apologized in a full-page newspaper advertisement for voting for President Barack Obama in 2008 and pledged their support for GOP challenger Mitt Romney.

“Mitt Romney will deliver the real recovery that President Obama has failed to bring, he’ll get Americans working again, and he’ll turn our economy around,” the ad says, according to The Des Moines Register.

The ad, published in the Cedar Rapids Gazette on Wednesday, takes the form of a letter and discusses why Romney is the better choice for Iowans, the Register reports.
