Big names from Hollywood and the sports world opened their wallets for President Barack Obama in September, giving the Obama Victory Fund an $82.4 million haul for the month.

All told, the Obama Victory Fund ended September with $45.2 million cash on hand, Politico reported.

In the entertainment industry, Obama received donations from mogul Oprah Winfrey ($40,000), actor Chevy Chase ($14,000), actress Marlo Thomas ($10,800), actor Sam Waterston ($10,000), and actress Scarlett Johansson ($7,000), among others.

Athletes and sports announcers pitched in too. New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston gave $73,000, and ESPN host Stuart Scott gave $25,000. Former pro basketball player and ESPN analyst Len Elmore donated $2,500, Detroit Pistons President Joe Dumars donated $2,000 and Princeton University men’s basketball coach Mitch Henderson gave $2,000.

In addition to the donations, the pro-Obama group Priorities USA Action said it raised $15.2 million in September.
