It make no sense to fire Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius now for the failure of the Obamacare insurance-exchange website, Former White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley says.
"To me that’s like firing Capt. Smith of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg. It’s not going to do much right now," Daley said Wednesday on CBS "This Morning."

"I think she’s in a tough situation right now. But the bottom line is they’ve got to get this working."
Daley acknowledged that the malfunctioning of the Obamacare enrollment website is "a big embarrassment." But he insisted it will be corrected.
"It will take time . . . The real question is what happened here? How did a program that is so vital to the country get screwed up this way at the beginning?" he asked.
The failure of the website has had a major impact on the White House, Daley said, because the president "has looked forward to the rollout of Obamacare, and it hasn’t gone as well as he had expected or demanded."
