Authorities say a car slammed into a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, striking and critically injuring a 9-year-old girl who was on the sidewalk.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey says the crash happened just before 5 p.m. Sunday at Terminal 7 on the departures level of the airport.
He said the sports sedan struck the child before crashing into a utility room at the terminal.
The vehicle's driver and passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
