Olympic diving legend Greg Louganis is engaged to marry his paralegal partner Johnny Chaillot, People magazine reported Monday.

"I finally met my soul mate — the more I fall in love with Johnny, the more I fall in love with myself. This is what the universe had in store for both of us," Louganis, 53, told the magazine.

The four-time gold medalist won back-to-back Olympic titles in springboard and platform diving at the 1984 Los Angeles and 1988 Seoul Olympics.

After his diving career ended, Louganis revealed he was gay in 1994 and announced he was HIV-positive a year later.

Louganis works as an athlete mentor for USA Diving. He’s also been featured as a coach on ABC’s reality diving competition "Splash."

Chaillot, 52, works for the Los Angeles-based law firm Loeb & Loeb.

There was an outpouring of support for the happy couple on Twitter after the announcement.
