More voters in West Virginia approve of Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., than they do of President Donald Trump in a new survey.
Results from the MetroNews West Virginia Poll:
- 51 percent of likely voters approve of the job Manchin is doing, compared to 34 percent who said the opposite.
- 48 percent approve of the job Trump is doing, with 39 percent saying they disapprove of his job performance.
- 40 percent approve of the job Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.V., is doing, while 38 percent disapprove.
Manchin has expressed a willingness to work with Trump on issues despite their opposing political parties.
Capito has gone against Trump and GOP leaders on issues such as healthcare reform.
