President Donald Trump boasted in a tweet Monday morning about the “great reviews” he said his administration is receiving about his response to the coronavirus crisis.
“Getting great reviews, finally, for how well we are handling the pandemic, especially our strong production of desperately needed ventilators, the building of field hospitals & beds, and soon, the great things we are doing on testing,” the president wrote. “People are really working well together!”
Trump’s tweet followed his Sunday appearance in a virtual town hall on Fox News Channel, during which the president defended the administration's handling of the pandemic, and stressed that the country was ready to begin reopening.
Trump also said he expects to see a vaccine for the coronavirus by the end of the year.
