Donald Trump raised more than $4 million Thursday as the billionaire developer accepted his party's nomination at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

Trump's campaign manager Paul Manafort made the announcement on Twitter:

The Washington Post
reported that on the previous day, Trump's campaign brought in $3.5 million in a 24-hour period. The campaign credited Trump's running mate Gov. Mike Pence, saying he fueled "the passion of grassroots conservatives."

Trump had his biggest fundraising month in June, when he collected more than $26 million, according to USA Today.

While the GOP nominee has denounced using super PACs in the past, Manafort praised the fundraising efforts of Rebuilding America, a PAC the Trump campaign endorsed in an effort to help him win the White House, reports USA Today.

Hillary Clinton's fundraising outpaces Trump's, however, according to Federal Election Commission filings. As of June, Clinton's campaign raised $146.3 million while Trump raised $81.1 million, reports NPR.
