Republican Senate candidate Pat Toomey has regained the lead over Democrat Joe Sestak in the hotly contested race for the Senate in Pennsylvania, a new poll reveals. A Franklin & Marshall College survey released Wednesday morning shows Toomey ahead 43 percent to 36 percent.
Sestak had taken a lead in some recent polls, and a Reuters survey this week showed the race tied at 46 percent.
Toomey’s surge can be attributed largely to continued strength among independent voters,
according to Politico.
