Sarah Palin has hinted in the past that she might go third-party if the GOP abandons conservatives.
As they were awaiting election results Tuesday night in the closely watched Mississippi Republican primary runoff, won by U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran over his challenger, state Sen. Chris McDaniel, Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity asked Palin if she is still considering it.
"If Republicans are gonna act like Democrats, then what's the use of getting all gung-ho about getting more Republicans in there?" Palin responded. If the GOP doesn't stand against President Barack Obama's liberal policies, she said, "it does no good to get all enthused about them anymore."
Palin said the recent primary loss of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in Virginia shows people want constitutionalists in office who aren't part of the status quo.
Palin put Cochran in the "status quo" camp.
