House Speaker Paul Ryan said Friday that he "appreciate[s]" the most recent Republican plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act, adding "I'll take federalism over Obamacare any day."
Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., told reporters Friday that he's "pretty confident" that the bill will get the votes it needs to pass from "the Republican side," saying, "we're probably at 48, 49, and talking to two or three more," according to Politico.
By using the reconciliation process, Republicans can avoid a filibuster with only 51 votes rather than the usual 60, but the terms for reconciliation expire at the end of September.
