Dem Holds Slim Lead In Race For Oregon Governor

Democrat Kate Brown holds a slim lead over her Republican challenger Knute Buehler for the governor race in Oregon, according to an Emerson College poll released on Tuesday.

Current governor Brown has a 47 percent to 42 percent advantage over her opponent.

Women are boosting her standing, with Brown leading 51 percent to 35 percent among females, while Buehler leads among males 48 percent to 42 percent.

Brown has a 44 favorable rating among Oregon voters and a 46 percent unfavorable rating, while Buehler has a 35 percent favorable and 43 percent unfavorable rating.

In the state, President Donald Trump’s favorable rating is 37 percent, while his unfavorable rating is 56 percent.

The survey was conducted between Oct. 26-28 among 747 participants and a margin of error of  3.7 percentage points.
