Mitt Romney: Iran Protesters 'Patriots Afar, Heroes All'

Comparing the Iran protests against alleged government corruption to the United States' own push for independence long ago, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney called protesters "patriots afar" and "heroes all" via tweet Sunday.

Romney's tweet echoed one Sunday morning from President Donald Trump, which praised those "getting wise" to "how their money and wealth is being stolen and squandered on terrorism."

Romney, a onetime critic of President Trump, has weighed a potential run for Senate in Utah, depending on whether Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, an avid Trump supporter, decides to retire or run for re-election in 2018.
