The race to decide the next governor of Georgia is almost dead even, with Republican candidate Brian Kemp holding a slim lead in the campaign's homestretch.
Results from the latest Emerson poll show that Kemp, Georgia's secretary of state, has 49 percent support among likely Georgia voters. Democrat Stacey Abrams, who serves as minority leader of the Georgia House, is not far behind with 47 percent support.
Libertarian candidate Ted Metz has 1 percent support, while 2 percent are undecided.
The top two candidates each have a favorable rating of 46 percent, while their unfavorable number is also even at 42 percent.
Vice President Mike Pence campaigned for Kemp in the Peach State on Thursday, and Oprah Winfrey did the same for Abrams.
Both candidates are running to replace Gov. Nathan Deal, who is not allowed to seek a third consecutive term because of term limits.
