Huckabee: Fox News Isn’t Pressing Me for 2012 Decision

While talk has arisen that Fox News is pushing contributor Mike Huckabee to decide quickly whether he will run for president next year, Huckabee says that’s not the case.

That idea is "total nonsense,” he wrote in an email to The Daily Beast, which itself is reporting that the former Arkansas governor is under such pressure.

“Your source is full of it. [There’s] no pressure at all," Huckabee wrote.

"Fox has been very understanding, and they know and I know that if I take steps to be a candidate (ask for money, support, or set up a committee), then I will step aside.

"That's been understood from the beginning," he added.

Last month Fox suspended contributors Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum after they took steps toward launching a presidential campaign.
